Louis Roberts

Louis G. Roberts, 82 of Enfield, passed away Saturday morning September 13, 2014 at his home. He was born August 31, 1932 in Mt. Vernon, IN the son of Dorsey and Edna (Rice) Roberts. He married Joyce A. Anderson on June 1, 1953 and she preceded him in death on October 8, 2011.

Louis had been a gas station owner in the area. He was a tinkerer, he enjoyed working on all kinds of projects. He was a United States Army Veteran during Korea. He was a member of the Springerton Church of Jesus Christ.

He is survived by his son, Louis (Pamela) Roberts of Enfield; his daughter, Deborah (Albert) Essary of Braceville; 3 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Esther Stone of Poseyville, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 4 brothers, Jim, William, John D. and Frank and 1 sister, Florence Pruitt.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday September 15, 2014 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Enfield with burial in Kitty Sweetin Cemetery.
