Lottie Darlene Carver, 71, of Maunie, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017, at her residence after her courageous battle with cancer. She was born August 24, 1946 in Buckhorn, MO the daughter of August and Juanita (Porter) Gibson. Darlene was married to Bobby Gene Carver, who stood by her side. She loved God and was a member of the Maunie First Church of God. Darlene loved her Indian Heritage, nature, raising her chickens and ducks and playing games.
Darlene's home was always open and she treated everyone as family. Even though she had numerous set backs with her health she always had a positive attitude on life.
Darlene is survived by her husband and soulmate of 23 years, Bobby Gene Carver of Maunie; children, DeeDee Parker, of Evansville, IN, Johnnie Ray (Cindy) Parker, of Evansville, IN, Nina Hankins, of Carmi and Lisa Snow, of Clarksville, TN; stepson, Cody (Katherine) Carver, of Grayville; stepdaughter, Denise Carver, of Carmi; a half-brother, Marty Gibson; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Donna Hankins, a grandchild and 14 brothers and sisters.
Services will be private. Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of arrangements.
