Lois Spence

Lois Spence, 90, of Broughton passed away at 11:30 p.m., Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Fountainview Nursing Home in Eldorado. She was born March 20, 1923 in Mayberry Township in Hamilton County, IL. Lois married Jearl Dean Spence on December 29, 1950 and he preceded her in death on August 12, 1987. She was a farm wife.
Lois is survived by two sisters, Lucille Wilson and Linda K. Ellison both of Norris City; two brothers, Eddie Howard of Broughton and John Thomas Howard of Lawrenceville; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Everett Howard on March 22, 1996.
Funeral Services for Lois Spence, 90, of Broughton will be Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. Burial will be in Mt. Oval Cemetery in Norris City. Friends may call at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Memorial Contributions may be made in Lois's memory to Shiloh United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer's Association and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home.
