Lloyd McKenzie

Lloyd C. McKenzie, 93, of Downers Grove passed away at 11:06 a.m., Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. He was born May 31, 1922 in Mayberry Township, IL the son of Fred T. and Ora Faye (Davis) McKenzie. Lloyd was a World War II Army Air Force where he was a Bombardier and received a Silver Star. He worked as a CPA and was a 50 year plus member of the Norris City Masonic Lodge, May Lodge #718 and the American Legion.

Lloyd is survived by a daughter, Sally McKenzie of Downers Grove, IL; a son, Stan McKenzie of Montrose, CO; and four grandchildren, Zachary McKenzie, Alyssa Szczek, Caitlin McKenzie and Shane McKenzie. He was preceded in death by a sister, Leona Warren.

Funeral Services for Lloyd C. McKenzie, 93, of Downers Grove will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City where Masonic Rites will be held. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Norris City with full military rites by the Carmi American Legion and VFW. Friends may call at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City on Wednesday after 10:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City.
