Linda Budd

     Linda Lucille Budd, 72, of Enfield, passed away at her home on Sunday, August 13, 2023.  She was born on October 21, 1950 in Peoria, IL the daughter of Lawrence Wilbur and Melba (Semeroth) Spray.  Linda married George Edward Budd on June 29, 1968.  She spent many years living in Shorewood, IL, where she served with the Shorewood Animal Control and later Will County Animal Control.  Linda and George moved to White County in 2007, where she enjoyed time with her horses, tending to the flowers around the home and cooking.  

     Linda is survived by her husband of 55 years, George; her daughter, Tawnie (Adam Hornbuckle) Connors of Shorewood, IL; four grandchildren, Makenna Budd, Trevor James Connors, Brady Connors and Delaney Connors; and two siblings, Larry Eugene Spray of Minooka, IL and Sandra Ellen Sampson of Richland, SC.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gerald Lee Spray.

      In keeping with Linda's wish's no services will be held at this time.  Donations may be made in Linda's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home, 609 W. Main St., Carmi, IL 62821 who is assisting the family with arrangements.
