Linda Bond

Linda M. Bond, 69, of Norris City, formerly of Ridgway, passed away at 4:27 p.m., Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born in Eldorado, IL on April 18, 1947 the daughter of Dan and Geneva (Horton) Klaffer. Linda married Clarke Delbert Bond on June 12, 1964. She was a housewife and had worked at Ridgway Nursing Home and Ferrell Hospital. Linda was a member of Crossroads Bible Church.

Linda is survived by her husband of 52 years, Clarke Bond; two daughters, Carmen (Dale) Broadway of Gulf Shores, AL and Cindy (Larry) Smith of Ridgway; a son, Jeff (Janet) Bond of Norris City; a sister Helen Bond of Ridgway; seven grandchildren, Cody, Denver, and Breanna Broadway and Brittiny, Dakota, Kade and Kenna Bond; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Delmer Klaffer; and two sisters, Mildred Sims and Velma Jones.

Funeral services for Linda Bond, 69, of Norris City, will be at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Crossroads Bible Church in Norris City. Burial will be at Campground Cemetery in Ridgway. Visitation will be on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. at Crossroads Bible Church. Memorial contributions may be made in Linda's memory to assist with funeral expenses to Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City who is in charge of arrangements.
