Linda Biggs

Linda S. Biggs, 75 of New Harmony, passed away Thursday January 31, 2019 at her home. She was born March 31, 1943, in New Harmony, IN the daughter of Ralph and Elta (Redman) Shephard. She married Jack Biggs on December 14, 1960 in New Harmony and he preceded her in death on March 3, 2017.

Linda retired as a Quality Control inspector at Uniseal in Evansville. Linda was a member of the American Legion Aux. Linda enjoyed visiting with all her neighborhood friends on her side by side. She also enjoyed gardening and reading.

She is survived by her son, Barry (Joy) Biggs, grandchildren, Quentin (Lauren) Biggs, Emily Logsdon, Zachary and Haley Biggs; great-grandchildren, Branton and Truett Biggs and Avery Logsdon; brother, Walter “Mac” (Carol) Shephard. She was preceded in death by her son and daughter-in law, Troy and Angie Biggs; brothers, James and Jack Shephard.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday February 5, 2019 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th St., Mt. Vernon with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery at New Harmony. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 4, 2019 at 4 p.m. till 7 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
