Lillie Hendrix

Lillie Hendrix 93 of Carmi, passed away Saturday evening May 9, 2015 at the Phoenix Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Carmi. She was born on August 5, 1921 in Marion, the daughter of John & Stella (Kelton) Ford. She married Edward Laverne Hendrix on February 5, 1946 in Shawneetown and preceded her in death on March 16, 2006.

Mrs. Hendrix worked in the laundry at White County Nursing Home before her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Charlotte Browning and Donna Denson, of Carmi; grandchildren, David, Jim and Crystal Denson, John Newberry, Greg Burnett, Donna Unfried, Cheryl Burnett, Becky McCormick; great-grandchildren, Haley Bell, Edward Newberry, Branson Burnett, Levi Williams, Hunter Williams, Chad Burnett, and Courtney Newberry. She was preceded in death by brother, Charles Ford.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will be in North Maple Ridge Cemetery. On-line condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
