Leora Phillips

Leora S. Winter Phillips, 101, passed away Monday evening, December 12, 2016 at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi. She was born on June 19, 1915 in Carmi, the daughter of Martin Otto and Caroline (Freiberger) Winter. She married James T. Phillips on March 22, 1941 and he preceded her in death on April 4, 1993.
Mrs. Philips is survived by daughters, Linda Sillars of Saco, Maine, Sally Philips of Seattle, Washington, and Susan Phillips of Naples, Florida; and granddaughter, Angela. She was preceded in death by son, Thomas Phillips and a brother, Chris Henry Winter.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in White County Memorial Garden. On-line condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
