Leonard Barger

Leonard Barger 84 of Enfield, passed away Monday morning March 13, 2017 at the Enfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born October 22, 1932 in Enfield, the son of Gilbert and Mary Alice (Poisel) Barger. He married Jo Helen Duckworth and she preceded him in death.

Leonard worked as a Tool and Die Maker at Airtex for 27 years. He operated J & L Tool Company in Enfield for 15 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Ashland Christian Church.

He is survived by his brothers, John (Stephanie) Barger, Robert (Judy) Barger, James (Billie) Barger and Ron and Sharon Barger; sisters, Reva (Carroll) Dozier, and Sherri (Ray) Harrison. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, Donald Barger and sisters, Barbara Ann Austin.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday March 16, 2017 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Enfield with Braden Willis officiating. Burial will be in Hammack Cemetery at Springerton with graveside military rites by the Carmi American Legion and V.F.W. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of services on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Ashland Christian Church, Enfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center or the donors choice.
