Larry Wheeler

Larry W. Wheeler, 73, of Mt. Dora, Florida passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Waterman Hospital in Tavares, FL. He was born on April 27, 1941 in Carmi, Illinois, the son of Rufus Charles and Vera Lorene (Myers) Wheeler. Larry married Gloria L. (Ritter) Nikides on July 3, 2011 in Zionsville, Indiana. Although Larry was a veteran of the Vietnam War(Army), a White County Reserve Deputy, FreeMason and a Shriner, Larry's occupation was as a machinist with Allison's Transmission.
Larry is survived by his wife, Gloria of Mt. Dora, FL; a son, Shawn Wheeler of Indianapolis, IN; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Nathan Kuhn of Westfield, IN; and four grandchildren, Chance and Timothy Wheeler, Colin Beaver and Ryan Kuhn. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Thomas, Mary Leona Williams and Roseann Wheeler; and four brothers, Aubrey, Eugene, John David and Harold Wheeler.
Funeral Services for Larry W. Wheeler will be at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with Chris Pollard officiaitng. Burial will be in Kuykendall Cemetery in Carmi. Friends may call at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until service time.
