Larry Smithhart

Larry A. Smithhart, 38, of West Melbourne, Florida and formerly of Carmi, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012 in Benton, IL. He was born September 28, 1973 in Carmi, the son of Larry Allen and Donna Lynn (Jones) Smithhart. Larry was married to Renea Bingman on December 31, 2006 and she survives. He was a design engineer for BRP, Inc. and a member of Centerpointe Church in Palm Bay, Florida.

Surviving are his wife, Renea Smithhart;, a daughter, Lana Nicole Smithhart and a son, Landon Scott Stone all of West Melbourne, FL; his parents, Larry and Donna Smithhart of Carmi; a grandmother, Hildred Wechsler of Dixon, IL; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Cheri (Jack) Hall of Hanover, Germany and Nikki (Chris Geene) Smithhart of Ogdensburg, NJ; his mother-in-law, Nancy Collins; his father-in-law, Ernie (Linda) Bingman; two sisters-in-law, Sherry (Scott) Bingman and Jenny (Scott) Howard; two brothers-in-law, Ray (Lora) Bingman and Will Bingman; eight nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial services for Larry A. Smithhart, 38, of West Melbourne, Florida and formerly of Carmi, will be held Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Grayville, IL with Dr. Thomas G. Walker and Rev. Rodney Groff officiating. Friends may call on Saturday, at the church from 4:00 p.m. until time of service.

A memorial service will also be held on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 10:00am at Centerpointe Church, 891 Coply St. S.E..

In leiu of flowers memorial gifts may be given in Larry's name to American Cancer Society, c/o Centerpointe Church, 891 Coply Street S.E., Palm Bay, Florida 32909 because of his passion for Relay For Life.
