Larry Gerdes

Larry V. Gerdes, 60, of Harrisburg and formerly of Norris City, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 3:25 p.m. at his residence. He was born September 9, 1954 in Waukegan, Illinois, the son of Norman Wayne and Margaret Alice (Austin) Gerdes.
Larry is survived by his mother, Alice Gerdes of Henderson, KY; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sherry and Roy Clark of Broughton and Mary and John Dunham of Henderson, KY; and four half brothers, Bob Edmonds of Los Angeles, CA, Bill Edmonds of Sanger, CA, Milton Johnson of Clam Falls, MN and Dale Johnson of Two Harbours, MI. He was preceded in death by his father.
A celebration of life for Larry V. Gerdes, 60, of Harrisburg and formerly of Norris City, will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Ditney Ridge Baptist Church near Norris City. Private burial will be in Ditney Ridge Cemetery. Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City is in charge of arrangements.
