     Kimberly L. (Knight) Jacobs, 58, of Carmi, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023, after a long illness. Kim was born on May 17, 1965, to Harold and Joyce Knight. She graduated from Crossville Community High School in 1983. Kim continued her education at Lockyear College in Evansville, Indiana, receiving an Associate Degree in Secretarial/Computer Science.  She married Charles Wayne Jacobs on August 16, 1986. They celebrated 36 years of marriage.

     Kim is survived by her husband Charlie, and their son Tyler Jacobs,  whom she loves dearly, both of Carmi, IL; her mother, Joyce Mercer of Crossville, IL; brothers, Kevin Knight of Orlando, FL, Randy Knight of Crossville, IL, Jeff Knight of Crossville, IL and Mike (Beth) Van Horn of Laurinburg, NC; sister-in-law Patsy (Tom) D'Amico of Boonville, IN; Brother-in-law, Glenn Jacobs of Calvin, IL; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews; very special friends, Belle and Perry McCartney. Thanks for being there for us through this journey called life! 

     A graveside funeral service and burial will be held for Kim Jacobs at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Kuykendall Cemetery in Carmi. Family and friends are all welcome.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Kim's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital, and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, who is in charge of arrangements.
