Kenneth R. “Tubby” Bingman, 92, of Carmi, passed away at his home on Tuesday, December 15, 2015. He was born on February 27, 1923 in Carmi, the son of Paul Eugene and Lura C. (Smith) Bingman. He married Lilleen McElroy on August 12, 1944 in Carmi and she survives.
Mr. Bingman was the owner/operator of Bingman Limestone. He was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran. He served several years as a Carmi Alderman, and was a member of the First Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Lilleen; sons, Ryan (Connie) Bingman of Carmi and Greg Bingman of Covington, KY; grandaughter, Ashton; two great-grandchildren, Cal Bingman & Rene (Tim) Hardy; a great-great-grandson, Tyson Hardy. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Michelle Bingman Holbert; brother, Don Bingman; sisters, Verla McGuire and Vonda Boehringer.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in White County Memorial Garden Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
