Kenneth “Kenny” Adkins, 58 of Mt. Vernon, Indiana Monday, September 10, 2007 in Evansville.

Kenny was born September 11, 1948 in Clarksville Tennessee to the late Turnley and Roxie (Brown) Adkins. He worked for GAF Building Materials and most recently for CF Industries in Mt. Vernon. Kenny was a Disabled Army Veteran having served in Vietnam. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign medal. He was a member of the American Legion, Owen Dunn Post #5 of Mt. Vernon, and the VFW Post #1114 of Evansville

Kenny is survived by:

Two Daughters:
Stacy Little and husband, Ray of Evansville, Indiana
Lee Ann Adkins of Portland, Oregon

Mother of Stacy and Lee Ann: Laura

Two Sisters:
Barbara Lamb and husband, Dan of Mayfield, Kentucky
Georgia Hammett and husband, Steve of Cass City, Michigan

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Heather Lenn at Visiting Nurse Association.


Memorial Services will be 7:00 pm, Friday, September 14, 2007 at Austin Funeral Home, 1330 E. 4th Mt. Vernon, Indiana with Gary Wagoner officiating. The American Legion Owen Dunn Post #5 Honor Guard will conduct military rites at the funeral home.

Friends may call from 2 until 7pm, Friday, September 14, 2007 at the funeral home.
