Keith Finch

Keith D. Finch, 61, of Carmi, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 11:27 a.m. at his residence. He was born October 31, 1951 in Fairfield, IL, the son of Robert Vernon and Doris Louella (Cagle) Finch. He was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and Sons of the American Legion.

Keith had a quick wit and lived a life that reflected loyalty to his friends and generosity in helping others. He spent most of his work career in Oklahoma and Florida. When he returned to Carmi, he focused on helping with the needs of his aging parents until their deaths. A man of many skills, he enjoyed his leisure reading and cooking with a creative flare.

Keith is survived by a sister, Janice (John) Talbott of San Diego, CA; a brother, Jerry (Anita) Finch of Snohomish, WA; and a granddaughter, Anneleya Marie Finch.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Zack Finch.

A gathering to honor the memory of Keith Finch will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Carmi American Legion. Memorial contributions may be made in Keith's memory to the Carmi Public Library or Shriners Childrens Hospital and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
