Kaye Bridwell

Kaye (Carter) Bridwell, 69, of Carmi, formerly of Norris City, passed away at 9:26 p.m., Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado. She was born in Norris City on June 14, 1950 the daughter of Clifton H. and Nadine (Blake) Carter. Kaye married Larry E. Bridwell on December 21, 1973 and he preceded her in death on June 14, 1977. She graduated from NCO High School in 1968. She worked at various jobs, most recently she worked in homehealth.

Kaye is survived by a daughter, Larissa (Doug) Hays; two sisters, Carolyn Sue Sampier and Laverta Bishop; two grandchildren, Holly and Lauren Hays; three nieces, Amber Sampier, Carrie Ann Guthrie and Tammie Bishop; three nephews, Kevin Sampier, Scott Sampier and Brandon Bishop; and numerous great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton Carter and Nadine and George Porter and a brother, Johnny Porter.

Funeral services for Kaye (Carter) Bridwell will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Norris City. Visitation will be on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Kaye's memory to First Bank Giving Tree or Lincoln School PTO and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
