Kay Mason

Kay (Clifford) Mason, 72 of Carmi, passed away Friday, March 14, 2014 at 3:35 a.m. at Phoenix Rehab and Nursing in Carmi. She was born August 14, 1941 in New Haven, Illinois, the daughter of Barney H. and Dessie (Travelstead) Clifford. Kay was a homemaker and had been a foster parent. She loved to fish and play bingo. Kay was a member of New Haven Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Lee and Carolyn June Clark, Jr. of Carmi and John Wayne and Betty Clark of Ducktown, TN; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Rose and Donald Goforth of Emma Township and Jennie and Mike Smith of Norris City; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Huburt "PeeWee" and Shirley Clifford and Clarence and Kathy Clifford all of New Haven; three grandchildren, Robert Allen Clark, April Clark and Buddy Wayne Clark and three great grandchildren, Nicholas Clark, and Maryjane and Stanley Clark. Kay was preceded in death by three sisters, Louise Johnston, Edith Littrell and Joan Emery; and three brothers, William Olan, Robert Dale and Lewis Edward Clifford.
Services will be private and Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of arrangements.
