Kathy Horton

Kathy A. Horton, age 59, of Mt. Vernon, IN, died Friday morning February 12, 2010 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born November 27, 1950 in Evansville, the daughter of Basil and Violet McCormick. She married Donald Horton on April 6, 1984 in Mt. Vernon.


Mrs. Horton was a homemaker.


She is survived by her husband Don Horton; one son, Michael Horton of Mt. Vernon; two daughters and a son-in-law, Tracey and Randy Hellenberg of Nebo, KY and Stacey Brakie and her fiance, Rick Bowman of Mt. Vernon; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one brother, Basil McCormick of Florida; six sisters, Elaine Brandsassie, Cindy Whoberry, Peggy Knight, Vicky Schmitzer, all of Mt. Vernon,Nancy Harmon of Florida, and Regina Jones of Kentucky.


Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday February 14, 2010 at the Austin~Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, IN. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
