Kathryn Poshard

Kathryn M. Poshard, age 82 of Mt. Vernon, IN died Thursday afternoon March 27, 2008 at Deaconess Hospice Care Center in Evansville, IN. She was born June 2, 1925 at New Haven, IL the daughter of Ralph and Ann (Roark) West.

Mrs. Poshard had worked as an administrative assistant at the Posey County A.S.C.S. office for over 25 years. She was also an owner of Poshard Trucking in Mt. Vernon and helped with the daily operations. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law James S. and Cathy Poshard of Mt. Vernon; a granddaughter and spouse, Holly and Casey Hudson of Evansville; one great-grandson, Braidyn Hudson; one sister, Mildred Emmerson of Ridgeway, IL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her former husband, James R. Poshard; one brother, Clarence West and one sister, Ruth Wiseman.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday March 30, 2008 at the Austin Funeral Home with Rev. Dallas Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Union Ridge Cemetery at New Haven, IL. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday March 29, 2008 at the funeral home. Eastern Star services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
