Kathryn Lane Dillsworth, 93, of McLeansboro, passed away at 8:10 p.m., Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. She was born on July 23, 1920 in Hamilton County, the daughter of Elmer and Flora Anne (Hamilton) Cox. Kathryn married Clinton Huston Lane on August 22, 1938 and he preceded her in death on November 28, 1972. She then married William Randall Dillsworth and he preceded her in death on March 11, 2002. Kathryn was a homemaker and was a member of Norris City Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and David Vickers of Omaha, IL and Dianna and Ed Howell of Point, TX; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Mark Lane of Plano, TX and Dave and Velma Lane of McLeansboro; a brother and sister-in-law, Joel and Maureen Cox of Granite City, IL; a sister, Wanda Robeff of Granite City, IL; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her husbands; a son, Larry Lane; two brothers, Donald and Lowell Cox; and four sisters, June Harper, Ruby Buehrer, Jean Tinsley, and Betty Desper.
Funeral services for Kathryn Lane Dillsworth, 93, of McLeansboro, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City with burial in West Union Cemetery near Carmi. Friends may call from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 10, 2014 at the Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. Memorial Contributions may be may in Kathryn's name to the Norris City Cumberland Presbyterian Church Funeral Fund and will be accepted at the funeal Home.
