Kandy Dunn

Kandy L. (Barbre) Dunn, 65, of Carmi, passed away at 7:46 a.m., Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born January 10, 1949 in Evansville, IN, the daughter of Charles and Betty Jo (Hollerbach) Barbre. Kandy married Carl Gene Dunn on November 20, 1981 and he preceded her in death on September 26, 1986. For 34 years she had worked as a waitress and bartender at various businesses including the Vintage Lounge. Kandy was a homemaker and loving mother. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, DAR and American Legion Post #224 Ladies Auxillary.
Kandy is survived by two daughters, Starlett Dunn of Carmi and Serena Jo Dunn of Harrisburg; a granddaughter, Ava Jo Dunn; an aunt, Marjorie Cox of Carmi and two nieces, Tobi and Kelly Barbre. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Tony Ray Barbre.
Funeral services for Kandy L. Dunn, 65, of Carmi, will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with Rev. Mike Buckman officiating. Private burial will be in Big Prairie Cemetery near Carmi. Friends may call at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until service time. A reception will be held at the American Legion following the service at approximately 8:00 p.m.
