Julie Ross

Julie Renee Ross, 36, of St. Louis, MO and formerly of Mt. Vernon, IN, died Monday, April 12, 2004 in St. Louis, MO. Julie was born July 10, 1967 in Evansville, IN. Julie was a 1985 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and served as Senior Class President. Julie was a Nursing Student in St. Louis. Julie loved the arts, especially music and was an excellent gourmet cook. She loved spending time with her friends
and working in the garden with her dad. Julie lit up a room with her smile and charm. She had a gentle caring spirit.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Eugene and Dorthy Neal, paternal grandparents Pat and Modena Ross, uncle Patty Brooks Ross.
She is survived by her father, Alex “Al” Ross of Mt. Vernon, IN, her mother and step father, Patricia (Neal) and Ralph Bowersock Sr. of Bridgeport, IL, one brother, John Ross of Wadesville, IN, one sister, Sherry Ross of Rockford, IL, one step-sister, Michalina (Dale) Peterson of Terre Haute, IN, three step-brothers, Ralph (Tina) Bowersock Jr., of Bridgeport, IL, Travis (Alison) Bowersock of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Kurtis Bowersock of Terre Haute, IN. Her aunt, Bobbie Chase of Newburgh, dearest cousin, Nancy Busan of Newburgh, Special friends Genny Cox of Mt. Vernon and Paula Berner and Dan Gottl of St. Louis, MO, and Angie Wilkins of Alabama, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and her loving dog Violet.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 16, 2004 at Austin Funeral Home, 1330 East Fourth Street, Mt. Vernon, IN with burial in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Newburgh, IN. Friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 15 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the family for a memorial that will be established in Julie’s name at a later date.
