Juineta Churchwell

Juineta Joy Churchwell, 85, of Carmi passed away at 6:46 a.m., Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital in Fairfield. She was born September 25, 1929 in Broughton, IL the daughter of William Otto and Eva Mae (Harwood) Wilson. Joy married George Thomas Churchwell in 1948. She was a homemaker and a member of the VFW Auxillary.

Joy is survived by her husband of 66 years, Tommy; a daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Keith McCarty of Evansville, IN; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Father Stephen Churchwell of Atlanta, GA, Doug and Sharon Churchwell of Schererville, IN, Brad and Carrie Churchwell of Kaukauna, WI and George T. "Tommy" and Melissa Churchwell, Jr. of Carmi; and six grandchildren, Jeffrey Attebury, Amanda and Alexa Churchwell, Abigail Churchwell and Blake and Eric Churchwell. She was preceded in death by twin daughter and son, Beverly and Michael Churchwell; two sisters, Wanda Griswold and Ruby Ann Aud and a brother, Claudus Wilson.

Funeral Services for Juineta Joy Churchwell, 85, of Carmi will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will be in Kuykendall Cemetery in Carmi. Friends may call at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
