Judy Darlene Cook

     Judy Darlene (Puckett) Cook, 71, of Carmi, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.  She was born on June 1, 1951, in Broughton, Illinois, the daughter of Hap and Wilma (Hutchcraft) Puckett.  Judy worked for 25 years as the head cook at Two Toni's Restaurant in Carmi. She then went to work as a cook at Washington Middle School in Carmi until she retired. Judy enjoyed sewing and was a hard core Willie Nelson fan.

     Judy is survived by her children, Jamie (Roe) Cartmill of Carmi, IL, Rita (Nathan) Lueke of Norris City, IL, and Wes Parker of Carmi, IL; four grandchildren, Amber and Katie Page, Lindzy Lueke, and Anderson Cartmill; two step-grandchildren, Austin Cartmill and Liberty Lyons; three great-grandchildren, Jace Phillips, Ava Hamilton, and Autumn Hamilton; siblings, Mary (Raymond) Partain of Mt. Carmel, IL, Jolene (Billy) Knight of Carmi, IL. Nola Trebeth of Carmi, IL, and Runa (George) Wells of Norris City, IL; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews  She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jim Puckett.

     Funeral services for Judy Cook will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.  Family and friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Judy's memory to Campbell Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses, and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
