Joshua Orlando Malone, age 34 of Enfield, died Thursday July 25, 2013 at his home. He was born August 1, 1978 in Olney, the son of Tommy and Linda (Marks) Malone.
Joshua graduated from SIU at Carbondale and just recently graduated from Heavy Equipment Operator School in Dothen, AL. He served in United States Marines from 1996-2000. He had earned the rank of Sergeant and had been deployed all over the Middle East in the Helicopter Squadron, Search and Rescue. He was a member of the NRA and attended the Springerton Christian Church.
He is survived by his parents of Enfield; and one sister, Stacey A. Malone-Ray of San Francisco, CA; his fiancé, Karen Turpin of Phoenix, AZ and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bertram and Edith Malone and Dorothy and Glen Marks.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday July 30, 2013 at the Springerton Christian Church. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5-8 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Enfield. Military rites will be conducted by the Carmi American Legion and V.F.W. immediately following services at the church. Memorials are suggested the Springerton Christian Church.
