Joseph L. Robinson, 82, of Mt. Vernon, IN went to be with the Lord Friday, March 6, 2009 at Deaconess Hospice in Evansville, IN. J.L. was born October 31, 1926 in Berrien County, Georgia son of Archie S. and Corrie (Fletcher) Robinson. J.L. was a construction worker and a member of Point Township Church of The Nazarene. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife of 58 years, Addie Pearl (Hobbs) Robinson.



J.L. is survived by daughters, Ann (Kenny) Cox, Penny (Steve) Capes all of Mt. Vernon and Janice Tomlinson of Henderson, KY. Sons, Jim (Pam) Robinson of Mt. Vernon and Joe (Andrea) Robinson of Indianapolis, IN; Sisters, Marie King and Virginia Stone both of Lakeland, FL, Frances Barwick of Springhill, FL and Shirley Bryant of Plant City, FL. His brother, Archie T. Robinson of Crossville, TN. 19 grandchildren, Tammy (Cecil) Arbary, Mike Cox, Jenny (Mark) Kiger, Allen Robinson, Jamie (Jill) Robinson, Jessica Robinson, Matt (Faith) Tomlinson, Wayne (Miranda) Tomlinson, Kristina Capes, Rachel (Brandyn) Mohr, Stephen (Lacy) Capes and Tyler Robinson; 19 great-grandchildren, Addie, Paige, Caleb, Zack and Elizabeth Robinson, April (Brooks) Stratman, Mollie and Joshua Arbary, Nathanial Cox, Hanna Kiger, Alexie Tomlinson, Brendyn, Madilyn and Izabelle Mohr, Kailyn and Allen Tomlinson, Breanna Holloway and Rylan Capes

His home going celebration will be held 10am, Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Point Township Church of The Nazarene with burial in the Weis Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, March 9, from 4 until 8 pm at the Church. The Austin Funeral Home at Mt. Vernon is in charge of arrangements.
