Jonathan Cox

Jonathan D. Cox, age 41, of Evansville, IN, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2011, at his home. He was born November 30, 1970, in Evansville, IN, the son of Gerald (Dolores) Cox and Lannie Jeffries, who preceded him in death.


Jonathan repaired tools at Lansing Tools.


He is survived by his father and step-mother, Gerald and Dolores Cox of Mt. Vernon; a sister, Ragen Jordan of Evansville; a brother and sister-in-law, Jeff Jordan and Tonya Lockyear, of Chandler, IN; two uncles, Gordon Jeffries of Mt. Vernon, and Roger Jeffries of Texas; a step-brother and step-sister-in-law, Jeff and Amy Jolley of Carmi; two step-sisters and step-brothers-in-law, Dottie and Roscoe Carroll and Jenny and Denny Robb, all of Mt. Vernon; a grandmother, Adell Jeffries of Mt. Vernon; and many nieces and nephews.


He is preceded in death by his mother, Lannie Jeffries; a grandmother; and both grandfathers.


Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at 1:00 pm, at Austin-Stendeback Family Funeral Home, 1330 E. Fourth St. Mt. Vernon, IN. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service in the chapel. Pastor Dale Culbertson will officiate. Burial will be in Blacks Cemetery in Mt. Vernon.
