Johnny Hoyd

Johnny Ray Hoyd, 61 of Evansville, died Wednesday January 1, 2014 at his home. He was born July 15, 1952 at Harlingen, TX the son of Donald Ray and Betty Jean Hoyd. He married Theresa Gayle Osban on March 24, 2009 at Mt. Vernon.

Johnny worked as a Gunsmith. He was an Army veteran serving in the Vietnam era. He was a member of the Owen Dunn Post #5 American Legion and the Mt. Vernon Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa; his daughters, Stacey Smith of Washburn, IL and Monique Osban of New Harmony; 1 son, Christopher Osban of New Harmony; his mother, Betty Jean Tomsu of TX; his step-mother, Tammy Jenkins of TX; 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Noon on Saturday January 4, 2014 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th St., Mt. Vernon. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time.
