John Post

John A. Post, 75 of Mount Vernon, IN passed away Sunday morning September 27, 2015 at Oasis Dementia Care in Evansville. He was born October 9, 1939 in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Arthur and Eileen (Lehmanowsky) Post. He married Edilia "Lilly" Post on April 27, 1968 in Victoria, TX. and she preceded him in death on March 18, 2012.

John was an Industrial Chemical Engineer. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He enjoyed reading was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Vernon.

He is survived by his son, Jeffery (Molly) Post of Evansville, his daughter, Jennifer (Michael) Opitz of Wauwatosa, WI; grandchildren, Nick, Jake, Luke and Zach Opitz and Marissa and Bailey Post; sisters, Elizabeth (Bill) Trotter of Cincinnati, OH and Susan (Mike) Jones of Hawaii.

Per John's wishes, no services will be held at this time. Memorials in his name are suggested to the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Vernon in care of the funeral home.
