John Neal

John C. Neal, 80, of Carmi, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013 at 4:52 p.m. at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. He was born November 21, 1932 in Macedonia, IL, the son of Jesse Sherman and Helen (Carlton) Neal. John married Donna Savage on June 30, 1990. He owned and operated Neal Electric,was a real estate developer and a 50 year member of I.B.E.W. #702.
John is survived by his wife of 22 years, Donna Neal of Carmi; two daughters and a son-in-law, Rhonda Mitchell and Jan and Glen Bolerjack all of Carmi; a step daughter and son-in-law, Jana and Pat Mitchell of Newburgh, IN; five grandsons; two great-granddaughters; and a sister-in-law, Marge Neal of Columbia, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Neal and Helen Neal Stubblefield; and a brother, Joe Neal.
Memorial graveside services and burial for John C. Neal, 80, of Carmi, will be Friday, March 29, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Masonic & Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton. There is no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial gifts may be given in John's name to the American Lung Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
