John Anderson

John N. Anderson, 91, of Carmi passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013 at 6:55 p.m. at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. He was born December 21, 1921 in White County, IL, the son of George Carson and Bertha Dorothea (Weirauch) Anderson. John married Velma Doris Peter on July 19,1951 and she preceded him in death on May 19, 1998. He was a farmer and a devoted member of First Christian Church and the Christian Workers Class.

John is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Janet L. and Philip Werry of New Harmony, IN and Lois A. Anderson of Corpus Christi, TX; two grandchildren, Heather Werry and Chad Werry. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy K. Hale and his brother, Elsworth Anderson.

Funeral Services for John N. Anderson, 91, of Carmi will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with Steve McClure officiating. Burial will be in West Union Cemetery near Carmi. Friends may call at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Memorial Contributions may be made in John's memory to First Christian Church of Carmi.
