John Hayden

    John E. Hayden, 69, of Longview, TX passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler, TX. He was born in Carmi, IL on December 1, 1954 the son of Bobby L. and Jenell E. (Harvey) Hayden. John married Darlene Herrin and she preceded him in death on October 10, 1993 He had worked in construction and faithfully served his country in the United States Navy and later in the Naval Reserves.

    John is survived by his mother, Jenell Hayden of Longview, TX; four siblings, Patricia (Johnny) Green of Kilgore, TX, Robert (Rhonda) Hayden of East Mountain, TX, Tony (Rose) Hayden of Gilmer, TX and Bret (Margie) Hayden of Gladewater, TX; an aunt, Jerry Nelene Pollard ; an uncle, Richard "Dike" Behler; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, wife and his son, John Albert Hayden and maternal grandparents, Ernest and Mattie Harvey.

    Graveside Funeral Service for John E, Hayden, 69, of Longview, TX will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 4, 2024 at North Maple Ridge Cemetery in Carmi with full military honors by the Carmi American Legion and VFW. Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is assisting the family with arrangements.
