John Gray

John Phillip Gray, 62, of Mt. Vernon, died at 10:22 PM, Friday, March 25 at his home. John was born September 13, 1942 in Eldorado, IL son of William and Maxine (Postada) Gray. John graduated from Carbondale High School with the class of 1960. He was a Lithographer with Creative Press in Evansville for 21 years retiring in 2000. John was a 45 year member of the Graphic Communications International Union Local 571 in Evansville. He was a member of the Posey County Saddle Club and loved to ride horses and loved the outdoors. John was preceded in death by his parents.
John is survived by his wife of 13 ½ years, Regina (Barnes) Gray of Mt. Vernon; Sons, Timothy Gray, Robert Mattingly and his wife Cristi, Darrell Mattingly and his wife Cindy; a daughter, Sherry Morris and her husband Wade; 10 grandchildren, Josh Greene, Breanna Morris, Caitlin Morris, Quinlin Morris, Kelly Pace, Jamie, Kristina, Brandon and Taylor Mattingly, and Jasmine Gray.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at Austin Funeral Home, 1330 East Fourth Street Mt. Vernon, IN. Friends may call from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, March 28, 2005. Memorial contributions can be made to American Cancer Society to be directed for pancreatic cancer research.
