Jo Ann Meriwether

Jo Ann Meriwether, 65 of Crossville, passed away Saturday morning September 16, 2017 at Carmi Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Carmi. She was born March 25, 1952 in Fairfield, the daughter of Calvin L. and Billie Ruth (Stover) Zehner. She married Roger Meriwether on March 20, 1971 at the Crossville Baptist Church.
Jo Ann loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She was also a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. She attended McHenry Good News Chapel in Crossville.
She is survived by her husband, Roger; her daughters, Miechel (Mark) Bassett of Newburgh, IN and Marcie (Jeremy) Hoskins; grandchildren, Jansen and Samuel Bassett and Tyler and Emma Hoskins; brother, Bobby (Songcha) Zehner of Clarksville, TN and sister, Sherri (Mark) Whitehouse of Evansville. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Ruth Ann Zehner.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday September 19, 2017 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi with Greg Grant officiating. Burial will be in Stokes Chapel Cemetery near Crossville. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Monday September 18, 2017 at the funeral home.
