Joan Terrell

Joan E. Terrell, 90, of Carmi, passed away at 4:52 a.m., Monday, January 12, 2015 at Wabash Christian Retirement Center. She was born December 28, 1924 in Ontario, Canada the daughter of Herbert and Louise (Loriman) Bills. Joan married Russell F. Terrell on May 5, 1945 in Northampton, England and he preceded her in death on January 1, 2011. She was a homemaker and a member of Concord United Methodist Church.

Joan is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Bill Hall of Concord, Debbie and Roy Dill of Newburgh, IN and Laurie and Randy Frashier of Maunie; a son and daughter-in-law, Mervyn and Gail Terrell of New Haven; a sister, Verna Hasler of Northhampton, England; a brother, Glen Bills of Northhampton, England; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Shelly and Mitch Wilson, Jason Hall, Heather Wheeler, Hollie and Kirby Damery, Hilary and Jeremy Nelson, Chad Dill, Katie and Jason Chapman, Erin Haley and Eli Frashier; and nine great-grandchildren, Madison and Lexi Wheeler, Annabelle and Ethan Morgan, Emslee Damery, Kyle and Kaylee Hall, Jake Smull and Oliver Wilson.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Marsh and a brother, Ron Bills.

Funeral services for Joan E. Terrell, 90, of Carmi, will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will be in Big Prairie Cemetery in Carmi. Friends may call on Wednesday, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home.
