Jimmy Schellenberg

Jimmy R Schellenberg, age 76, of Carmi, passed away Monday, March 18, 2013, at his home. He was born September 28, 1936, in Rising Sun, IL, the son of Roger E. and Wilma (Irvin) Schellenberg. He married Linda Russell on October 9, 1974, and she survives. Jimmy was an oilfield roughneck and had worked with George Mitchell Drilling among others.

In addition to his wife, Linda; he is survived by four daughters and two sons-in-law, Presha and David Russell of FL, Loretta McVay of Carmi, Connie and Greg Madden of Carmi, and Crystal Cardwell of Evansville, IN; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Norma and Robert Pentecost of TN, and Nancy Muncel of McLeansboro; eight grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Marlene Harmon.
