Jimmy North McFadden, 73, of Mt. Vernon, Indiana, died Thursday, July 26, 2007 at his residence.

Jimmy was born August 14, 1933 in Mt. Vernon, Indiana to Basil and Margaret McFadden. He was a graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and was a United States Army Veteran. Jimmy retired in 1992 after 44 years as an Operator for Country Mark. Jimmy was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1717, American Legion Owen Dunn Post # 5 and an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan.

He is survived by:

Sandra Breeden and her husband, Ronnie D. of Mt. Vernon
Jan Johnson of Mt. Vernon
Tammy Carrier and her husband, Carl R. of Henderson, KY
Two Step-Daughters:
Katherine Allbright and her husband, Steve of Mt. Vernon
Janie Meissner and her husband, Tom of Mt. Vernon
One Step-Son:
Tony Dick of Mt. Vernon
One Sister:
Ora Dell Butler and her husband, Naurice of Mt. Vernon
Four Grandchildren:
Craig and Daniel McFadden, Amber and Allen Carrier
Four Step-Grandchildren:
Synaca Johnson, Joe Allbright, Alison Rose, Dave and Scot Meissner
Four Great-Grandchildren and Five Step-Great-Grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathleen (Hall) McFadden in 1976, his second wife, Alice B. (Wolf) McFadden in 2000, a Great-Grandchild, Nicholas Gage Russell-McFadden in 2003, a brother, Bill Kappus and a son in law, Tim Johnson.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, July 29, 2007 at Austin Funeral Home, 1330 E. 4th, Mt. Vernon, Indiana with Reverend Dave Goldman officiating with burial in Beech Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call 4 pm until 8 pm, Saturday, July 28, 2007, at the funeral home.
