Jerry Wiseman

Jerry L. Wiseman, 72, of Carmi, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, April 13, 2015 at 1:40 a.m. at his residence. He was born May 9, 1942 in Grayville, IL, the son of Kenneth Franklin and Vera Ruth (Spencer) Wiseman. Jerry married JoAnn Williams on March 2, 1963.

Jerry was the vice president at Citizens National Bank of Albion for 13 years and was a Prudential Insurance agent for 40 years. Jerry was longtime treasurer of the Carmi Kiwanis Club where he presided as president from October, 2000 - September, 2001. He was a member and elder of First Christian Church in Carmi where he attended Phi Chi Sunday School class. Jerry was very much a community minded person, but most of all he loved his wife, children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, JoAnn of Carmi; children, Julie (Rex) Johnson of Cloverdale, IN, Mike (Janice) Wiseman of Mannford, OK, Jayne (Brad) Jordan of Maysville, NC, and Jennifer Agger of Carmi; six grandchildren, Mandy and Jay Wiseman, Bethany Jordan, and Joseph, Michael and Emily Agger; two great-grandchildren, Kameron and Jocelynn Quick; and a sister, Norma Grimes of Grayville. Jerry was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Elliott; and a son-in-law, John Agger.

Funeral services for Jerry L. Wiseman, 72, of Carmi, will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church in Carmi with Greg Grant officiating. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Albion. Friends may call on Friday, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church and on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

Memorial gifts may be given in Jerry's name to the First Christian Church or Carmi Kiwanis Club and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
