Jeffrey Woodham, 59, of Carmi passed away Monday, December 10, 2012 in Carmi. He was born November 22, 1953 in Mt. Carmel, IL the son of Walter A. and Frances (Aker) Woodham. Jeff married Sheryl Yingst on June 10, 1989. He grew up in Grayville and graduated from Grayville High School and later from Wabash Valley Junior College in Mt. Carmel. Jeff had worked as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and as a self employed carpet layer.

Jeff was devoted to his family and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed wood working, was a master musician, loved playing the acoustic guitar and participating with the worship team at Wabash Christian Retirement Center.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 23 years, Sheryl of Carmi; his mother, Frances Woodham of Grayville who is currently of Carmi; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lenora K. and Ray Beckett of Frederic, MI and Susan and Tony Levingston of Grayville; two brothers, Steven and Gary Woodham both of Grayville; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Steve Gilpin, Mary Lou Garner and Mike and Valinda Rowe.

He was preceded in death by his father on November 25, 2012.


Funeral services for Jeffrey Woodham, 59, of Carmi will be Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will be in White County Memorial Garden in Carmi. Friends may call on Thursday at Campbell Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to The Guardian Center and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home.
