Jeffrey Turpin

Jeffrey S. Turpin, 53, of Carmi passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at 3:05 p.m. at his residence. He was born in Carmi on September 9, 1959 the son of Jerry Lee and Kerin Jane (DeBoard) Turpin. Jeff married Joyce Ann Naas on November 18, 1978. He was a 1977 graduate of Norris City-Omaha High School. Jeff retired in 1996 after 15 years with Exxon where he was the Quality Advisor for the Eastern Division. He was an entrepreneur, carpenter, involved in Real Estate and owned Country Estates and held a Nursing Home Administrator License. Jeff was a avid and active member of Carmi Church of Christ along with being an avid art collector and artist himself.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 34 years, Joyce of Carmi; a daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Ronnie Adams of Midland, TX; a son, Jonathan Turpin of Carmi; his parents, Jerry and Jane Turpin of Enfield; a sister, Lee Ann McDaniel of Odessa, TX; a brother and sister-in-law, Guy B. and Cindy Turpin of Casa Grande, AZ; a granddaughter, Preslee Adams; and his father and mother-in-law, Robert and Barbara Naas of Norris City.

A singing and Memorial Services for Jeffrey S. Turpin, 53, of Carmi will be Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 4:00 pm at the Carmi Church of Christ. Friends may call at the church on Saturday after 2:00 pm. The family invites everyone to a meal at the church immediately following the service. Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of arrangements.
