Jeannie Hiebert, 63 of Norris City, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 10:30 p.m. at her residence. She was born June 30, 1950 in Grayville, the daughter of Rebecca (Nelson) Harrison. Jeannie married Donald Edward Hiebert on November 22, 1969. She was a bus driver, aide, custodian, and an EMT. Jeannie was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Norris City, River City Clowns, and Southern Illinois Klowns.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Donald Hiebert of Norris City; a daughter and son-in-law, Becky (David) Wheeler of Carmi; a son and daughter-in-law, Doug (Kate) Hiebert of Palm Harbor, FL; two grandchildren, Dakota and Alixandria Wheeler; her mother, Rebecca O'Neal; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Connie (Jack) Lamont and Kathy (Randy) Buchanan all of Carmi; and a brother, Ronald Beck. Jeannie was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Rose.
Funeral services for Jeannie Hiebert, 63 of Norris City, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2014 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with burial in Centerville Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 3 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Pets at Risk and will be accepted at the Campbell Funeral Home.
