Jeannette Adams

Jeannette Opal Adams, 95, of Norris City passed away at 1:50 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2017 at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi.  She was born April 1, 1921 in Evansville, IN the daughter of Herman Lewis and Gereva (Bryant) Becker.  Jeannette married Ernest Joseph Adams on April 15, 1938 and he preceded her in death on November 2, 2005.  She was a homemaker and a member of Albion Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Jeannette is survived by a daughter, Carolyn and Chester Cole of Carmi; three sons, Keith Adams of FL, Brent and Pamela Adams and Randy and Janet Adams all of Carmi; a sister, Leola and George Tilford of Evansville, IN; two sisters-in-law, Lucy Becker and Betty Becker both of Evansville, IN;16 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Adams, her parents Herman and Gereva Becker, two sons, Ronnie and Leon Adams, a sister Sharon Wanserski and two brothers, Arnold and Albert Becker.

Funeral services for Jeannette Opal Adams, 95, of Norris City, will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, January  23, 2017 at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City with Mike Fields officiating. Burial will be in Albion Cemetery near Norris City. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 23, 2017 at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City is in charge of arrangements.
