Jean Sneed

Jean  (Thelma) (Bryant) Sneed 81, of Carmi passed away at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville.  She was born in Omaha, IL. on September 18, 1939, the daughter of Laymon  and Mary (Davis) Bryant. Jean married Bill Sneed on July 27, 1958 and he precedes her in death.  She loved and admired her family. They were the purpose of her life.  She cherished her lifelong friends in her personal life.  Jean was a Godly woman and was involved in  various church activities in the area. She was a farm wife and mother, which she truly loved.

Jean is survived by her children, Joyce (Dave) Edwards and Darrell (Cindy) Sneed; her granddaughter, Star Bertram; great grandson, Hendrix Wallace; several special grandchildren by heart,  Amy (Williams) Evans, Dakota (Rose) Baseden, Drae (Rose) Simmons, Samaira Snow, Courtney Snow, Eric Thomas, and Justin Williams; sisters, Evelyn (David) Fagan and Edna Lovellette; and a brother, Skip (Ann) Bryant.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Sneed; her parents, Laymon and Mary Bryant; her twin sister Jane (Alma) Sneed; and brother L.G. Bryant.

Funeral services for Jean Sneed will be held on Monday, March 29, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Stendeback Funeral Home in Enfield IL., with burial in the Old Springer Cemetery near Bungay. Friends and family may visit from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions can be made in Jean's memory to the Springerton Church of Jesus Christ and will be accepted at Stendeback Funeral Home in Enfield, who is in charge of arrangements. In accordance with CDC and IDPH recommendations, social distancing will be observed and masks will be required.
