Jannie Walker

Jannie P. Walker, 54 of Mt. Vernon died at her home on Tuesday, March 23, 2010. She was born on March 2, 1956 in Posey County, the daughter of John R. and Barbara Ann (Carroll) Walker, Sr.


She had worked as an LPN for Woodbridge Nursing Home.


She is survived by six brothers and sisters-in-law, John R. Walker, Jr. of Mt. Vernon, Leonard Walker of Terre Haute, Walter L. & Rebecca Walker of Mt. Vernon, William C. Walker of Mt. Vernon, Ronald L. & Norma Walker of Evansville, and Joseph E. & Janet Walker of Mt. Vernon; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.


Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at the Austin-Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Visitation will be from Noon until the time of the service. Burial will be in Bellefontaine Cemetery. On-line condolences may be left at www.austinfuneralhome.com.
