Jane Thomas

Jane D. Thomas, 85 of Mount Vernon, passed away Sunday morning December 31, 2017 at Premier Healthcare of New Harmony. She was born April 25, 1932 in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of Harry M. and Blanche (Haggard) Green. She married Joseph Thomas on May 18, 1954 in Princeton, IN and he preceded her in death on June 11, 2009.
Jane was a homemaker. She had been a member of the Moose, Eagles and the Owen Dunn Post #5 Auxiliary. She enjoyed crochet, ceramics and tole painting.
She is survived by her sons, Arthur of New Harmony, Richard of Pueblo, CO and David (Alice) Thomas of Evansville, daughters, Margaret (Rick) Sailer of Wadesville and Kristen (Angel) Thomas-Rivera of Bloomington, IN; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter in law, Danna Thomas, brother, Harry Green, Jr. and sisters, Earline Edwards and Beulah Mason.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday January 2, 2018 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th St., Mt. Vernon, IN with burial in Bellefontaine Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until services. Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamiyfuneralhome.com
