Jane Morgan

Biography

Jane E. Morgan, age 87 of Mt. Vernon, died Sunday afternoon January 6, 2013 at the New Harmonie Healthcare Center. She was born June 23, 1925 in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of George and Gladys (Woodward) Krug. She married Russell L. Morgan and he preceded her in death on February 7, 2004.

Jane was a 1943 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School. She was a homemaker and caregiver to her family. She loved animals especially her dog.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, George L. and Debbie Morgan of Mt. Vernon; one daughter, Lynn Katzenberger of Wilmington, NC; three grandchildren, Mark R. Katzenberger, Benjamin Morgan and Sethlyn Morgan; three great-grandchildren, Alexander, Ainsley and Audrey Katzenberger.

She is preceded in death by her husband, a granddaughter, Kimberly Katzenberger; a brother George William Krug and a son-in-law, Mark Katzenberger.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday January 9, 2013 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th St., Mt. Vernon with burial in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
