Jan Fishback

Jan Fishback, 49, of Carmi, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 8:20 a.m. near Carmi. She was born September 20, 1965 in Carmi, Illinois, the daughter of John Wayne and Virginia Lynn (French) Hansman. Jan married James Robert Fishback on August 18, 1984. She worked at the White County Treasurer's office and was an active member of Crossville Missionary Baptist Church. Jan was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend to all she met and will be greatly missed.

Jan is survived by her husband of 30 years, James R. Fishback of Carmi; her mother, Virginia DeDoming of Carmi; two sons, Jesse Fishback and Joseph Fishback both of Carmi; a sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Chris Schneider of Carmi; her mother-in-law, Burnette Fishback of Carmi; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; and a brother, John Wayne Hansman, Jr.

Funeral services for Jan Fishback, 49, of Carmi, will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Crossville Missionary Baptist Church with Revs. Steve Griswold and Mark Smith officiating. Burial will be in Centerville Cemetery near Carmi. Friends may call on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the church. Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial gifts may be given in Jan's name to Crossville Missionary Baptist Church Sister Sunday School Class and will be accepted at the funeral home.
