James Williams, 70, of Norris City passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013 at 8:15 a.m. at his residence. James was born In St. Clair County, IL on September 15, 1942 the son of Wilburn and Dorothy (Chapman) Williams. He married Rose Mary Satterfield on January 25, 1963. James worked as a roustabout in the oil field and for Babcock and Wilcox.
James is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rose; two sons and daughters-in-law, Troy and Shelly Williams and Lonny and Kristin Williams all of Norris City; three grandchildren, Bradley, Kyle and Colton Williams; a sister, Sondra Emmerson of New Haven, IL; a brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Carolyn Williams of Norris City; his mother-in-law, Faye Satterfield of Norris City and a brother-in-law, Bill Satterfield of Norris City.
Graveside funeral and burial services for James Williams, 70, of Norris City, will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at Old Prairie Cemetery near Norris City. There is no prior visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City is in charge of arrangements.
